AWS Powers Poland’s AI and Cloud Boom Across Key Industries

May 8, 2026

At the recent AWS Summit Warsaw, Amazon Web Services highlighted how Polish companies are rapidly scaling AI and cloud adoption across many sectors, including energy, telecoms, fintech, retail, and gaming.

According to the latest “Unlocking Poland’s AI Potential” study, AI adoption among Polish businesses has reached 48%. In comparison, cloud adoption climbed to 61%, placing Poland among Europe’s fastest-digitising economies for the second consecutive year.

AWS Highlights Long-Term Commitment to Poland

During the event, Amazon stated it has invested more than €10 billion in Poland since 2012, while AWS has trained over 100,000 people in cloud and AI skills nationwide. The company says Poland’s growing digital ambitions and skilled workforce position it as a leading innovation hub in Central Europe.

As Tanuja Randery, Vice President and Managing Director for EMEA at Amazon Web Services, highlighted while discussing Poland’s growing potential in AI and digital innovation:

“Poland faces an enormous opportunity in AI, and we see growing digital ambitions across the board — from the largest companies to fast-scaling startups and mid-sized enterprises that are increasingly competing on a global stage. Our cooperation is not just about technology — it is also an investment in the digital skills of the people who will implement and develop it. We are proud to support Polish businesses on this journey.”

AWS aimed not only to talk about that transformation, but to demonstrate it in practice. During the event, the company showcased how businesses across seven different industries are using cloud and AI technologies to scale faster, improve efficiency, and compete globally.

1. Energy: ORLEN

ORLEN announced a strategic cooperation with AWS to modernise its operations through cloud and AI technologies. The partnership includes employee training programmes, cloud migration, and development of a multi-cloud IT environment aimed at increasing operational flexibility and accelerating innovation.

2. Entertrainment: Totalizator Sportowy (LOTTO)

Totalizator Sportowy, owner of the LOTTO brand, is working with AWS to improve system resilience, cybersecurity, and business continuity. The company operates more than 29,000 sales points across Poland and plans to use AWS infrastructure to speed up digital product launches.

3. Retail: 4F

Polish sportswear brand 4F selected AWS as its strategic technology partner to support European expansion. The company said cloud modernisation through AWS reduced infrastructure costs by 40% while improving scalability during peak sales periods such as Black Friday. 4F is also developing AI-powered retail and e-commerce solutions.

4. AI: ElevenLabs

AI voice startup ElevenLabs, now valued at approximately $11 billion, signed a multi-year agreement with AWS. Its music-generation model and voice AI services operate fully on AWS infrastructure, serving nearly 100 million users across 46 countries.

5. Telecom: T-Mobile Poland

T-Mobile Poland introduced AI-powered customer service tools built on AWS technologies, including Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker. The company reported a 40% reduction in information search time for consultants and significantly improved customer interaction analytics.

6. Fintech: PayPo

Fintech platform PayPo has operated entirely on AWS since its founding in 2016, scaling to process 22.5 million transactions with more than 99.9% availability. As the Amazon highlighted, PayPo grew from fewer than 10 people to 289 employees, and AWS serves not just as infrastructure but as its compliance partner through DORA and NIS2.

7. Gaming: Techland

Meanwhile, gaming studio Techland used AWS infrastructure to support millions of players during the launch of “Dying Light: The Beast” without downtime.

Unlocking Poland’s AI

With these examples, it is clear that AI adoption is accelerating across industries, and Poland is one of Europe’s leading digital and innovation hubs. Businesses are investing heavily in cloud and AI technologies to improve efficiency, scale globally, and drive innovation, while access to advanced AI tools, private investment, and skilled digital talent is becoming a key competitive advantage.

According to the report, 62% of Polish companies see access to cutting-edge AI technologies as critical for growth, and more than half say public-sector digital transformation could further accelerate adoption across the economy.

Combined with rising cloud adoption and growing confidence in Europe’s AI ecosystem, the findings suggest Poland is entering a new phase of AI-driven economic transformation.
