Data4 Opens Second Data Center Near Warsaw, Poland

April 13, 2026

European data center operator Data4 has inaugurated a second facility at its Jawczyce campus near Warsaw, Poland. Located in Ożarów Mazowiecki, the new building delivers 10MW of capacity and expands a site first launched in 2023. The campus is expected to reach 60MW across 50,000 sqm once fully developed, including 15,000 sqm of IT space.

New Data4’s Center in Poland: Sustainability and Technology Focus

Founded in 2006, Data4 operates more than 30 data centers across Europe with a combined capacity of around 1.5GW. The new Jawczyce facility marks another step in the company’s strategy to expand its network and support Europe’s growing digital economy.

The company has already invested nearly €200 million in Poland so far and plans to increase this to €600 million by 2030, with the project expected to create around 400 jobs. The expansion reflects rising demand for data processing driven by cloud computing and artificial intelligence, as Poland’s total data center capacity is forecast to grow from about 300MW to nearly 500MW by the end of the decade.

The new facility has achieved BREEAM “Excellent” certification and was built using 60 percent prefabricated modules to reduce emissions and construction time. Data4 aims to maintain a PUE below 1.3, with the first Jawczyce building already reaching 1.27. The campus also participates in the Climate-Adapt4EOSC initiative, testing tools to assess climate-related risks to infrastructure.

Poland’s Strategic Role in Data4’s Expansion

According to Adam Ponichtera, Country Managing Director Poland at Data4, the expansion demonstrates that Poland remains one of the company’s key European markets, with infrastructure being developed in a phased and sustainable manner in close cooperation with the local community. Olivier Micheli, President and CEO, added

“The launch of another building at our campus in Poland is strategically important for us. With the rapid development of artificial intelligence and cloud services, digital infrastructure is becoming one of the foundations of Europe’s economic competitiveness. That is why we continue to expand Data4’s network of campuses across Europe to meet the growing demand for computing capacity.”

On the other side, Andrzej Domański, Minister of Finance and Economy, who was present at the opening ceremony, said that such investments are key to strengthening economic competitiveness and technological sovereignty:

“Poland is already a leader in Central and Eastern Europe, accounting for over one-third of the region’s data center capacity. We want to continue actively strengthening the competitiveness and technological sovereignty of Poland and Europe. In a world where data and computing power are becoming critical resources, digital infrastructure supports both the economy and national security.”

Poland In the Centre of Data Revolution

The opening of the new facility comes as no surprise, given Poland’s rapidly expanding digital infrastructure landscape. The country is already home to around 100 data centers, operated not only by Data4 but also by global players such as Microsoft, Equinix, and Google. The launch of a second facility by Data4 and its continued expansion further confirm Poland’s position as one of the most attractive data center markets in Europe.

As highlighted during the opening ceremony, the country’s strengths go beyond its strategic location and growing infrastructure. Poland also offers a highly skilled talent pool, with local expertise increasingly playing a key role in developing and operating advanced data center environments
